We are proud to offer our clients dental crowns at Steelcroft Dental. Permanent dental crowns can do miracles for your pearly whites, and they take just a small effort to care for. Watch out for your dental crowns and shield your chompers and dental health by reading and practicing these tips straight from Dr. Vinutha Kupperi and the Steelcroft Dental team.

The broadest and best recommendation we can give about caring for your permanent dental crowns is to pay attention to how they’re feeling. Pearly whites naturally move around and change positions over time, but dental crowns (which are inorganic) do not. If your crown starts to feel too big or too little for your mouth, let us know. If you start experiencing sensitivity in the tooth with the crown, some of the glue from the crown could have become dislodged, and we’ll need to see you for repair; wobbly crowns or crowns that have fallen off will need to be repaired in our office. Finally, although it’s very rare, it’s possible to have an allergic reaction to metal crowns, so get in touch with us if your crown is reacting with the gums in your oral cavity.
